Case study
What Veracend found on our own store.
ReeChow is our founder’s jewelry and accessories store, selling to the US. These are its real Shopify numbers for 20 August to 20 October 2026, and its live store as checked on 21 Oct 2026.
From the sales data.
- Critical
30 people reached checkout and left without paying
Checkout completion was 3.2%. When shoppers get that far and leave, the reason is almost always something they only see at checkout: shipping cost, delivery time or payment options.
- High
Half the “orders” weren’t real
Shopify counted 2 orders. One was placed by the store owner as a test, so the real conversion rate was half what the dashboard suggested.
- High
One day brought 48% of all visits, and no sales
21 September had 711 visits against a typical 14 a day. Traffic like that makes every rate on the dashboard look worse or better than it really is.
- High
Only 31% of visits came from the United States
The store sells to the US, but most visits came from elsewhere, including United Kingdom, Philippines and Indonesia.
From the live store.

What happens next
We’re fixing these on ReeChow now, starting with checkout and the product descriptions. When the next progress check runs, we’ll publish the real before-and-after numbers here, whether they’re good or not.
Only ReeChow’s own Shopify exports and public store pages are used on this page. The sample report also includes example Meta Ads files; those simulated figures are not shown here.
