Veracend

Privacy policy.

Last updated 21 October 2026. Veracend is run by Veracend, contactable at support@veracend.com. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect, and why

  • Files you upload (Shopify, WooCommerce, Google Analytics and Meta exports): read once, in memory, to build your report. The files themselves are never saved.
  • Your report: totals, dates, order numbers, product names and photos from your public store. It does not keep your customers’ names or email addresses. It is stored at a private link so you can come back to it.
  • Your email address, if you give it: to send your report link, Monitor alerts and payment receipts. We don’t send marketing email.
  • Payment details: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
  • Basic technical data: your IP address, used briefly to stop abuse (for example, too many store checks in an hour), and a security cookie that protects our forms. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Our lawful basis is providing the service you asked for (contract), and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

Public store pages

When you give a store address, we load the public pages any shopper can see: the product list, homepage, a product page and policy pages. We only read what is already public.

Who else processes data

  • Stripe: payments and subscriptions.
  • Render: hosts the website and stores reports.
  • Brevo: sends Monitor alert emails.
  • SerpApi: looks up Google search interest and Amazon listings for your product types (Growth only). It receives product names, never customer data.
  • Anthropic: writes the short summary at the top of a full report from that report’s findings. It receives findings and totals, not your files or customer details.

Some of these companies are based in the United States. They protect data under the safeguards UK law requires for transfers abroad.

How long we keep it

Reports are deleted automatically after 30 days. If you use Monitor, your store’s latest check is kept while your subscription is active, so the next check can be compared with it, and your Monitor history is deleted when you ask. Stripe keeps payment records as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing support@veracend.com. We reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
